Welcome to NBRUC 2011

The North Australia Beef Research Council (NABRC) will host a Northern Beef Research Update Conference at the Holiday Inn Esplanade, Darwin, on Tuesday 2 – Friday 5 August 2011.

Conference Program

Presentations from leading industry researchers will review and report recently completed and ongoing research projects in genomics and genetics, reproductive performance, liveweight gain, sustainable grazing, climate change adaptation and mitigation, animal health and welfare and live export.

A program of key topics has been developed which will be addressed in papers prepared by invited speakers and in contributed poster presentations. For details Click "Technical Program" in the left side menu.

The North Australia Beef Research Council includes all the major research stakeholders in Queensland, the Northern Territory and the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia, including producers, MLA, CSIRO, state departments of primary industry/agriculture, CRCs and a number of northern universities. Producer representatives on the Council are the chairman of the 10 Regional Beef Research Committees which operate across northern Australia. The chairman of the North Australia Beef Research Council is Mr Ralph Shannon.
